My Big Fat Cat Book!

One of my assignments for the Wiggles and Giggles Design Team was to make one of those chipboard albums - OF COURSE I picked the cat book! I had a great time working on this one. I started with the picture of Nikko that peeks through the hole and built the rest from there. You can't help but crack a smile when you look at the pictures.

Sometimes I Amaze Myself....

A work associate asked me to make some cards she could buy. Since it was a small order, I could take time to do some things I would never do if I had to make 50 cards! One in particular turned out really pretty - I love this poinsettia - it is a brass stencil from Dreamweaver.

A Great Class!

I took a great class with Mary Pappas at Stamp and Scrap Nest - we learned how to make dimensional poinsettias, greenery, bells and pine cones!

Nikko

And here's the love of my life - Nikko.

Nikko is the one who sleeps with me and stays by my side when I'm sick. She's about 11 or 12 years old now. I made the little veil for her when Judy got married out of leftover materials from the pew bows. Doesn't she look like she's praying? :)

Lucky

The blog would not be complete without pictures of my cats. These are of Lucky - when we first got her - she was so tiny - she was a rescue kitty and was just over 4 weeks old, we think.... Anyway - she got MUCH bigger, and now she's way bigger than our other cat, Nikko! I call her "Pretzel Cat" because she sleeps in the most twisted positions - I guess it must be comfortable!

Stitched Cards

Here are two cards I'm teaching in November - both are stitched with metallic threads. The wreath is beaded as well.

New Cards

Here are a couple of cards I made for my submission to the Design Team at Wiggles and Giggles, a local scrapbooking store, which I'm happy to say I made! I've also started teaching classes there. I've submitted the cards to a magazine too - we'll see what happens there!
